Egger: A good atmosphere at EPU encourages people to become founders themselves

Vienna (OTS) – “The latest EPU mood barometer from the Chamber of Commerce shows how important one-person companies are for the domestic economy and what positive contribution they make. What is particularly pleasing is that 79 percent of Austrian one-person entrepreneurs would take the step into self-employment again and mostly see the future positively. Despite the economic challenges, one-person companies are moving forward with a high degree of flexibility and a strong entrepreneurial mindset for the Austrian economy. This requires courage and passion for independence,” says WB General Secretary Abg.z.No. Kurt Egger is pleased.

Calls for reductions in bureaucracy and relief from taxes and duties

“Even if the mood among the EPU members is good, there is still room for improvement. More relief is needed for the largest group of local entrepreneurs, especially when it comes to taxes and bureaucracy. Improvements in the small business flat rate in income tax, a further increase in the limit for low-value assets and an improvement in the VAT regulations for small businesses are important relief steps that we as a business association are committed to from Lake Constance to Lake Neusiedl,” concludes Egger.
