ISLAMABAD: Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has approached the Lahore High Court seeking to prevent her arrest, if any, and to provide details of all the cases once morest her.
Advocate Mushtaq Ahmed Mohal told the court on behalf of Bushra Bibi that the FIRs taken once morest her by various agencies, including the police, are being kept secret and therefore the petitioner is unable to approach the court. The petitioner contended that the federal and provincial governments and law enforcement agencies have initiated retaliatory actions once morest her, her husband and other family members.
The former first lady was booked for illegal possession of a locket, chain, earrings, two rings and a bracelet in the controversial Toshakhana case. Earlier, Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Sulaqarnain had granted bail to Bushra Bibi till September 12 in the Toshakhana case.
