Ibrahim, a 17-year-old Pakistani boy from Ajman who went missing on April 12, was laid to rest in Dubai on May 3. Ibrahim Muhammad was buried at Al Muhaisnah Cemetery in Dubai.
The 12th standard student left home angry following an argument with his mother. A great search was made for him but nothing was found. Ibrahim’s mother says she was told that he died following falling from a building in Rashidiya area of Ajman the day he left home. Speaking to Gulf News, the mother said that she might not believe that her son had fallen to his death from the building.
Ibrahim’s mother said many boys his age left home angry but then returned. We thought he must have gone to a friend and will come back. We were thinking that he will be back before the board exams start. On the first day of the exam, I found out that he would never come back. I was shattered inside hearing this.
Ibrahim’s younger brother Anas said that he was a very good person and we will always miss him.
Ibrahim’s burial was attended by many teachers and students from his school following Friday prayers. The mother said that teachers and classmates also took the lead in searching for her. Some used to call daily to find out whether he came or not.
