It’s an unrelenting fight once morest cheaters that Bungie, the developer of Destiny 2, is waging. Now, the company has won yet once more, suing veteran cheats seller Mihai Claudiu-Florentin for a whopping $12 million. But that’s not all: The list of cheat developers sued by Bungie is getting longer and longer.
Again and once more Bungie is confronted with cheaters in their games. But instead of simply putting a stop to the fraudsters, the company takes action once morest them with all its might. The most recent example: The seller of veteran cheats, Mihai Claudiu-Florentin, has now been sued by Bungie for $12 million. The reason: Claudiu-Florentin is said to have sold almost 6000 cheats for Destiny 2. Bungie fined $2,000 for every cheat sold. The Washington court granted Bungie’s claim and ordered the cheat developer to pay the full amount.
But Bungie’s fight once morest cheaters doesn’t stop there. AimJunkies and Elite boss tech were also not safe from Bungie’s lawsuits and have already had to pay for their offenses – $4.4 and $13.5 million were the penalties here. Bungie is also currently suing Lavi Cheats for $6.7 million.
Bungie shows that the company is serious regarding its fight once morest cheaters. But the cheat developers also seem to be stubborn. Whether the tide will turn in the future remains to be seen. However, one thing is certain: Bungie will continue to crack down on making gaming fair for everyone.

How Bungie itself states that since November 2020 the company has invested more than 2 million dollars in anti-cheat measures to prevent cheating in Destiny 2. This includes internal cheat detection measures as well the development of various anti-cheat software, including BattlEye.
According to Bungie, the $2 million amount is primarily made up of personnel and development costs to combat the problem. Each cheat must be fought independently, since each of these programs works differently.
After Bungie introduced the BattlEye anti-cheat software in addition to its internal tools, the company says it saw a significant increase in the advertised price for game boosting services.
