It seems that Bungie, the creator development studio of the saga Halohas been working with NetEase for nearly two years (Harry Potter: Magic Awakened) in a new installment of Destiny designed specifically for mobile devices. Although this report shared by The Game Post has not been confirmed by Bungie, the truth is that it is not unreasonable to think that the studio may be developing a mobile installment of its successful multiplayer taking into account examples of other sagas such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Apex Legends Mobile o PUBG Mobile.
The aforementioned means would have discovered “an unannounced mobile FPS game” that would be being developed in collaboration with Bungie and that appears in the profile of LinkedIn from an artist who works at NetEase. Citing a source who says he is familiar with NetEase’s unannounced development plans, the website claims that the development studio has been working on a new Destiny for at least two years. In the report it has also been specified that said title would be a completely new delivery and not from a conversion of Destiny 2.
Indicative that the new Destiny might be real
NetEase invested 100 million dollars to become a minority shareholder of Bungie in 2018, at which point the Destiny studio claimed the deal would help “explore new directions” and build “new worlds”. On the other hand, it should be noted that Sony declared just two months ago that the acquisition of Bungie “is a big step forward to be ms multiplatform“, while it is rumored that the company plans to launch two new games as a service before April 2023, among which this Destiny for mobile might be found.
