Bungie will continue to be cross-platform and focused on games as a service
Remember that the contract for the purchase of Bungie by PlayStation, which amounts to $3.6 billion, does not imply that the company will become a studio that works exclusively for Sony consoles; actually not even be part of PlayStation Studios as such, but will remain an “independent subsidiary” to continue publishing cross-platform video games. In fact, Sony has admitted that this purchase is a step to take “ms cross-platform” and, in the process, to energize its portfolio of games as a service.
