Bundesliga transfers: Rapid signs striker from the German Bundesliga

Rapid has found a replacement for centre-forward Fally Mayulu, who was sold to England: Croatian striker Dion Beljo is moving to Hütteldorf on loan with an option to buy.

The 22-year-old Beljo scored two goals for Augsburg last season – mostly as a substitute. In October 2023, the 1.95 m tall striker made his debut for the Croatian national team.

“I absolutely trust that he can develop into a goal-scoring player for us and, like our entire coaching team, I am looking forward to working with him,” explained Markus Katzer, Rapid’s sports director. Despite his age, Beljo is already experienced and perfectly complements Rapid’s attacking options.
