Marwin Hitz might leave Dortmund this summer. According to the Sport1 channel, the St. Gallen goalkeeper “most likely will not play for BVB once more next season”.
Replacing his compatriot Gregor Kobel at BvB, Marwin Hitz posted on Instagram on Saturday, following the match once morest Bayern Munich (3-1 defeat), for which he had been established due to Kobel’s injury, a photo captioned “The last klassiker”. This indication might hint at his departure.
Hitz arrived at Borussia in 2018 from Augsburg. His contract runs until the summer of 2023. His possible future destination is not known.
Another Swiss goalkeeper from Dortmund, the ex-international Roman Bürki will leave the club prematurely, a year before the expiry of his contract, at the end of the season. He will join in July Saint-Louis City, team of the North American championship (MLS).
