Ex-Bayern star baptizes his son “Munich”

There are plenty of bizarre names for youngsters in the celebrity world. But former Bayern crowd favorite Samuel Kuffour (45) associates his best footballing days with his son’s name.

For 13 years he wore the jersey of FC Bayern Munich – during this time he won the championship six times, the German Cup four times and as a highlight in 2001 the Champions League and the World Cup. Now Samuel Kuffour (45) is honoring his time in Bayern with a special gesture.

As the former Ghanaian central defender revealed during a visit to his home country, he christened his son “Munich” (in German Munich). And Bavaria’s Honorary President Uli Hoeness (70), to whom Kuffour had a special relationship in Munich, should now “absolutely see” him.
