Manuel Akanji (26) has to look for a new club. According to Sky Sport News, Borussia Dortmund told him that he no longer counted on his services, while his contract runs until 2023.
The Swiss international defender has already indicated that he does not want to extend his contract. For new BVB coach Edin Terzic, Akanji is only number 4 in his centre-back hierarchy behind Mats Hummels and rookies Niklas Süle and Nico Schlotterbeck.
Thorgan Hazard, Julian Brandt and Nico Schulz have also become undesirables at Borussia. Terzic briefed the players ahead of the planned training camp in Bad Ragaz.
