Bundesliga: BVB separates from chief scout because of “different ideas”

Borussia Dortmund has parted ways with its chief scout Eduard Graf with immediate effect. Lars Ricken, BVB sports director, confirmed this to the TV station Sky.

Graf, who has held the position with the Black and Yellows since autumn 2022 as Markus Pilawa’s successor, received a message from Ricken on Tuesday that he would not be working at the club beyond the end of the season. He was then released until this point.

“We have different ideas about the future direction of our scouting department. For this reason, I have decided not to continue working with Eduard Graf beyond the season. In order to take the sensitivity of the area of responsibility into account, we have appointed him with immediate effect exempt,” explained Lars Ricken.
