New Delhi: Indian pacer Jasprit Bura’s return to international cricket will be delayed. The unfit player will miss the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Bumrah was earlier included in the squad for the three-match series.
Bumrah was injured during the Twenty20 series against Australia last September. After that, the star also lost the World Cup. The statement released by the BCCI stated that the player has recovered his physical fitness after undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy and will soon join the Indian team.
Bura was also injured during the England tour last July. Then the player had to be out of the team for two months.
India’s first ODI series of 2023 begins tomorrow. There are three games in the series against Sri Lanka.
