As a form of commitment to improving the welfare of people throughout Indonesia through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Program, PT Dana Tabungan dan Asuransi Karyawan Negeri (Taspen) again participated in the 2024 BUMN Volunteer Bakti Program (RBB) Batch VI which was held on August 15-17, 2024.

In the event, the company had the opportunity to host together with Garuda Indonesia and AirNav Indonesia in Hilisimaetano Village, South Nias Regency, North Sumatra. The RBB program this time focuses on efforts to revive village potential, embrace tradition, and create new sustainable economic opportunities.

“The RBB Batch VI program is Taspen’s real action to revive the traditions, values, and identity of Hilisimaetano Village which is rich in culture and community life values, through collaboration with other BUMN,” said TASPEN Corporate Secretary, Pudiastuti Citra Adi in a written statement, Friday (23/8).

Hilisimaetano Village was chosen as the location for the 2024 RBB Program Batch VI because it is one of the largest rice barns in the Nias Islands, with the majority of its population working as rice field, rubber plantation, and coconut plantation farmers.

In its implementation, volunteers are also involved in various activities, such as providing environmentally friendly lighting, providing assistance with school facilities and infrastructure, helping to optimize MSME products, holding training for tourism village content creators, and Bumdes management.

“We hope this program can be one of the sustainable initiatives, providing significant benefits to people throughout Indonesia. This is in line with the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir, who wants SOE employees to be able to provide real and best contributions to society and the nation,” he said. (Z-11)
