Sunday July 18, 2021 around 2 a.m., a witness warned the police that a burglary was in progress in a refreshment bar in Bulle. A rapid closure of the perimeter had then made it possible to arrest an alleged perpetrator, who was trying to flee. Searches on his person and at his home then revealed the possession of several objects of dubious provenance.
Placed in pre-trial detention, the young man, 18, admitted his involvement in the burglary of the refreshment bar as well as a theft of a wallet in a Bullois bar. Subsequently, the police discovered that two of his acquaintances – a 17-year-old minor and an 18-year-old adult, a minor at the time of the facts – were also involved in regarding fifteen thefts, in particular by breaking and entering. clandestine. They were carried out individually or in groups between June and August of last year in the Bull region, in particular in garages.
During this series of burglaries, the amount of money withdrawn was estimated at more than 20,000 francs. Regarding the material and vehicles stolen, their total value has not been determined. These included bicycles, scooters, electronics and cars. The damage caused might not be estimated. For the purposes of the investigation, the three were remanded in custody before being released. The criminal investigation is continuing.
