Bull Run Ignition: JCI’s Breakout Propels Large-Cap Stocks to New Heights

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) rose 0.71% or 53.01 points to 7,557.14 in trading Tuesday (8/10). Even though it strengthened in yesterday’s trading, the JCI was still recorded down 1.11% in the week. Meanwhile, since the beginning of the year, the JCI has strengthened 3.91%.

The share market capitalization of PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) fell below IDR 100 trillion at the time ex date dividend on Tuesday (8/10). Even though the market cap has fallen, UNTR’s ranking among big cap stocks remains at 19th.

Shares of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI), which strengthened along with banking shares, finally returned to fifth place after being shifted yesterday by shares of PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN).

Foreign investors recorded a net sell of IDR 165.67 billion in all markets. Foreign net sales in the regular market reached IDR 39.74 billion. In the negotiation market, foreign investors recorded a net sell of IDR 125.93 billion.

The stocks with the largest foreign net sell were PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) IDR 169.73 billion, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) IDR 127.6 billion, and PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) IDR 66.2 billion. billion.

Six sectoral indices supported the JCI increase in yesterday’s trading. The financial sector jumped 1.39%. The property and real estate sector advanced 1.13%. The technology sector shot up 0.81%. The consumer goods sector strengthened 0.46%. The infrastructure sector rose 0.31%. The primary consumer goods sector rose 0.20%.

Five sectors fell even though the JCI strengthened. The raw goods sector fell 1.77%. The energy sector plunged 1.37%. The health sector fell 1.01%. The health sector fell 0.97%. The industrial sector weakened 0.26%.

The total exchange transaction volume reached 24.17 billion shares with a transaction value of IDR 14.06 trillion. A total of 290 shares weakened. There were 261 shares that rose and 240 shares were flat.
