After a nearly two-month break, Bulgarian football resumes with a match for the Super Cup between “Ludogorets” and “CSKA 1948”. The two teams face each other today at 15:00 at the “Ivaylo” stadium in Veliko Tarnovo.
The match will be broadcast on Diema Sport.
The meeting was supposed to take place in the summer, but was postponed due to the participation of both teams in European club tournaments.
Last season, “Ludogorets” defeated “CSKA 1948” in the final of the Bulgarian Cup. Due to the fact that the team from Razgrad won a double (title and cup), “CSKA 1948” participated in the match for the Super Cup.
The upcoming match will also be one of a total of three between the two teams within a month. On February 29 in Razgrad, there will be a quarter-final match in the Bulgarian Cup, and on March 3, the two teams will play in the championship as well.
The match for the Super Cup will be the last test for “Ludogorets” before the playoff round in the League of Conferences against the Swiss “Servet”.
“I am absolutely familiar with the state of the opponent. In Bulgaria we have nothing to hide from each other. I am aware of the class of CSKA 1948. The match will be very useful especially because Servet are already in the championship, and we until now we only had control matches”, said the coach of “Ludogorets” Georgi Dermendzhiev before the match.
