Financial education is a right for everyone, especially women, but this is a public that is still little engaged in the subject. This is what data from the most recent Treasury Direct report shows. Brazil has 26.6 million investors registered in the system, of which only 7.1 million are women, equivalent to 27% of the total.
Attentive and concerned about the issue, the Warren Investmentsin partnership with fintech EQL – They Who Profit and with the support of B3 and the National Treasury, launches the reality show “Garotas do Tesouro”in an initiative that aims to make women increasingly aware of their relationship with money, teaching them how to multiply their investments until they become truly independent.
Second Patricia Aiellodirector of marketing and expansion at Warren, this is a project created by women and aimed exclusively at women, with the aim of inspiring them in the world of finance. “Garotas do Tesouro focuses on financial education and emotional development for women throughout Brazil. It is a journey of challenges, learning and growth”, he declares.
For Francine Mendes, creator of the project and CEO of Elas Que Lucrem, the reality show’s proposal is to demonstrate that money is also a “women’s thing”, including finances in women’s daily lives in a light and relaxed way through different profiles of women – whether in the fitness, gastronomy, fashion, etc. segment.
“It is often said among friends that the person who takes care of the family’s investments is the father, brother or partner. It’s still a very masculine universe. For us women, generally, things need to make sense, there needs to be a connection, a purpose. That’s when Garotas do Tesouro came about,” he adds. The program will select 100 women over 18 years old and with a relevant digital presence, with more than 1,000 followers and a reference on a topic for a female audience (education, career, motherhood, fashion and beauty, lifestyle, ageism, among others).
Of the 100 selected, 3 of them will be finalists in the in-person stage of the reality show, in the city of São Paulo, where a competition will begin in which their content creation skills and knowledge in finance will be tested.
The winner will win R$100,000 in cash.
