MicrosoftWe have announced that there is a problem that printing cannot be performed normally in the Windows 11 version 22H2 environment.
Bug overview
In the Windows 11 22H2 environment, when the printer uses the “Microsoft IPP Class Driver” or “Universal Print Class Driver”, various functions and settings such as color settings and duplex printing settings may not be used or reflected correctly. In that case, only the default settings can be used.
Therefore, a safeguard (safeguard ID: 41332279) has been applied to prevent Windows 11 22H2 from being installed in Windows 10 and Windows 11 21H2 environments that use this driver.
Deleting printers that use the “Microsoft IPP Class Driver” or “Universal Print Class Driver” removes this safeguard. Removal of safeguards may take up to 48 hours.
Workaround/Workaround
If you have already updated to Windows 11 22H2 and the printer can only use the default settings, please delete and reinstall the printer.
Printer can be deleted and reinstalled from settings
You can delete the printer from “Start button” → “Settings” → “Bluetooth and devices” → “Printers and scanners” and reinstall it from “Add a device”.
