Due to a bug, Baldur’s Gate III players discovered a forgotten land of Faerûn: “the kingdom of naked men”, a magical world where the textile industry has never really been able to establish itself.
A forgotten kingdom
Given the immensity of Baldur’s Gate III, we must admit that Larian has done a colossal amount of work and that the game is relatively well “finished”, in the sense that few bugs really ruin the experience. The studio continues to monitor its title, ensures that everything works correctly and corrects the problems that players may encounter with several patches and hotfixes.
This does not mean, however, that the software is free of bugs. There are a good number of them and even today players sometimes face strange situations, as funny as they are surprising. This is precisely what happened with this curious discovery shared by players on Twitter. Some adventurers would have been transported to a magical world: “The kingdom of naked men”, of which we let you find the images for yourself for obvious reasons.

Bug or feature? Larian sows doubt
So far, players have landed in the realm of naked men in different ways, mostly during nights of long rest, sometimes in co-op and when one of the players logs out of the game. The bug does not occur systematically and it is possible to do several runs without ever crossing paths with these undressed men. The problem is that for a bug, the kingdom of naked men still remains particularly specific. We still don’t know its origin, but there are several avenues. The more plausible idea would be that the kingdom of naked men is not a bug strictly speaking, but rather the fact of being transported there, since there does exist a place where we can find all these merry men, at namely the character creation hub.

During character creation, the camera is centered on the avatar, but if it pans slightly or moves back a few meters, it is possible to find our group of naked men. And their avatars would then correspond to those that it is possible to select as a predefined avatar, which would explain the presence of the character’s dark impulses. Larian has not yet really reacted to this discovery. For the moment, the studio has simply responded to the phenomenon with a retweet of the original post and the following caption: “The Kingdom of Naked Men: They also silently judge your character creation choices, but don’t tell anyone“. It is therefore difficult to determine the origin at the moment. In the meantime, do not worry if, during a starry night, you start dreaming of completely naked men. It is completely normal.
