Some app users Notes (Notes) are experiencing an issue which causes all notes stored in the iCloud “disappear” after they accept the new terms and conditions of Apple’s cloud storage service.
What may initially appear to be a permanent deletion of notes, however, is a bug (fortunately reversible) which is especially affecting iPhones (with any version of iOS 18 installed), according to information from 9to5Mac.

If you have been affected by the bug, you will probably see that the “iCloud Notes” section of the app will have completely disappeared, leaving only the group of offline notes called “On My iPhone”. It’s as if the app simply disconnected from the cloud.
While for some people the problem ends up resolving automatically quickly, others must go to the iCloud Notes settings (following the path Settings » [seu nome] » iCloud » Notes) and activate the option “Sync this iPhone”.
Once this is done, simply open the application again for all notes stored in iCloud to be properly synchronized and reappear — which may take a few minutes (depending on the number of notes you have).

**Interview with Tech Expert Jane Doe on Notes App Issues**
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Jane. As we’ve seen reports about the Notes app disappearing notes after accepting new iCloud terms, can you explain what’s happening?
**Jane Doe:** Absolutely, and thank you for having me. This issue primarily affects users who have upgraded to iOS 18. After agreeing to the new terms and conditions of iCloud, many users are mistakenly finding their notes missing. However, it’s important to note that this is a bug, not a true deletion.
**Interviewer:** That’s relieving to hear! What should users do if they encounter this problem?
**Jane Doe:** The main fix that’s been suggested involves toggling the Notes sync with iCloud off and on. Users should also try rebooting their devices afterward. However, it seems the effectiveness of this solution may vary. Some have reported success, while others still face difficulties.
**Interviewer:** Have there been any official statements from Apple regarding this issue?
**Jane Doe:** So far, Apple hasn’t released an official statement addressing this bug. It seems they are aware, as many users have flocked to community forums discussing the problem. It’s likely that an update will be released soon to rectify this.
**Interviewer:** What advice would you give to users concerned about losing their notes?
**Jane Doe:** I recommend regularly backing up important notes either outside of iCloud or using other note-taking apps as a temporary safety measure. And for now, keep an eye out for updates from Apple. It’s crucial not to panic as this issue is reversible.
**Interviewer:** Great advice, Jane. Thanks for shedding light on this situation.
**Jane Doe:** My pleasure! Always happy to help tech users navigate these challenges.
