Financial analyst Mikhail Belyaev spoke regarding the mechanism of price increase and regarding what goods can rise in price in the first place.

Mikhail Kimovich, what products and other goods will rise in price in September? Perhaps it makes sense to urgently buy something?

– Prices go up on everything! It does not happen that some goods become more expensive, while others do not. Everything rises. The only question is what prices will rise faster and what slower. The most expensive are those goods that are in daily demand and which have nothing to replace – buckwheat, sunflower oil and so on.

Why is this happening?

– Since the ruble weakens once morest the dollar, the price rises compared to the previous period.

Is the price increase somehow controlled?

– The antimonopoly service deals with price regulation. She conducts research on which goods have increased prices and how justified their increase. The Antimonopoly Service must stop cases of unreasonable price increase.

Recall that from September 1, a significant increase in prices for a number of foods and drinks is expected. For example, tea and coffee producers have warned that the cost of imported raw materials has increased, which means that the selling price of drinks will also increase by 6–9%. For the same reason, chocolate will become 10% more expensive, marshmallows and cookies will be 25% more expensive.

An increase in prices for chicken meat is expected by 11.5%, prices for meat products – sausages, sausages, sausages, and so on – will soar. Due to problems in the supply of imported seafood and rice, rolls and sushi will no longer be available to our consumers – their prices will increase by 25%. And this is only a small part of the goods and services that will be affected by the price increase.
