Buckingham Palace published a picture, Saturday, of the resting place Queen Elizabeth The latter is in the Royal Chapel in Windsor, in which a stone bears her name and the names of her parents and husband, Prince Philip.
The stone, made of black Belgian marble, is placed in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, which was commissioned by Queen Elizabeth in 1962 as a burial place for her father, George VI.
The Queen was buried there on Monday following a state funeral at Westminster Abbey.
“George VI 1895-1952 / Elizabeth 1900-2002” is written on the stone in brass lettering, in the upper two lines, followed by an asterisk of a medal.
Thin and then “Elizabeth II 1926-2022 / Philip 1921-2021” in the bottom two lines.
Queen Elizabeth’s sister, Princess Margaret, is also buried in the chapel at Windsor Castle, west of London.
Queen Elizabeth died on September 8 at Balmoral Castle, her summer home in the Scottish Highlands, following assuming the throne for 70 years, and her son Charles took the throne.
