BOSTON – Heading on the road for the fourth time in five contests, the Boston University men’s basketball team will visit Davidson on Tuesday night with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.

The Terriers are looking to carry momentum from last Thursday’s 95-79 home victory once morest Bryant, while the Wildcats are focused on bouncing back from Friday’s 70-68 loss at East Tennessee State.

TERRIER TIDBITS

In the win over the Bulldogs, six Terriers scored in double figures for the third time under 13th-year head coach Joe Jones. BU hit the mark once morest Northern Illinois in 2021 and at UMBC in 2013 following previously accomplished the feat in 2003.
Freshman Kyrone Alexander earned BU’s first Patriot League Rookie of the Week award since Jonas Harper (’23) was honored at the end of the 2018-19 campaign thanks to a 17-point and three-assist performance once morest Bryant.
Junior Ethan Okwuosa posted BU’s first double-double of the season (13 pts., 10 rebs.) in the same contest, while sophomore Otto Landrum tallied a career-high 19 points.
Alexander leads the Terriers at 10.0 ppg with six 3-pointers, while senior Miles Brewster (8.3 ppg) has a team-high 11 assists alongside nine steals.
Both Landrum (5.5 rpg) and Okwuosa (4.8 rpg) have combined for five of BU’s seven blocks while averaging an identical 7.8 ppg.
Through four contests, BU is averaging 62.8 ppg and 37.9 FG% while holding teams to 69.8 ppg and 42.1 FG%.
The Terriers have led at the half in two of the three road losses.

SCOUTING DAVIDSON

Davidson is 1-0 at home with an 86-63 win over Washington and Lee following going 7-8 last season and 16-16 overall.
The Wildcats followed the home victory with a 64-61 win once morest Maryland at the Asheville Championship before dropping a 68-65 decision to Clemson in the same event. 
6-foot-7 forward Bobby Durkin leads Davidson at 12.3 ppg, while 6-foot-10 forward David owns 11.3 ppg with a team-high 6.0 rpg alongside 6-foot-4 guard Grant Huffman (8.5 ppg, 4.5 apg).
The Wildcats are averaging 70.8 ppg and 41.4 FG% while holding opponents to 65.5 ppg and 39.6 FG%.

SERIES HISTORY

BU will face Davidson for the second time in program history and first since earning an 87-69 victory back in 1955-56 during a three-day tournament in Charlotte, N.C. 
The Terriers are 1-1 in North Carolina under head coach Joe Jones, earning a 65-58 win at Elon in 2018 and dropping a 77-73 decision at NC State in 2016.
BU’s most memorable experience in the state occurred during the 1959 NCAA tournament (Charlotte, N.C.), when the Terriers upset then-No. 18 Navy in the Sweet 16 and came up just short to NBA Hall of Famer Jerry West and West Virginia in the Elite Eight, 86-82.

UP NEXT

After celebrating Thanksgiving, the Terriers will return to Case Gym to host Vermont State University – Johnson on Sunday (Nov. 26) with a 2 p.m. start.
The teams will meet for the first time in program history.
