The singer’s car was a Mercedes Benz AMG G 63 and was auctioned at 6 pm by means of a Backlot and sold for 1.2 billion won o $917,080 on Tuesday through the official auction platform Seoul Auction.
The Backlot only described the car as “driven by a world celebrity following the car was launched“, but following it was revealed that it was Jungkook from BTS, it attracted much more attention.
The car was supposed to go up for auction in November, but the process was halted shortly before the auction closed following the highest bidder was found to be a foreigner whose identity might not be identified.
The Backlot then resumed the auction last Tuesday following banning foreign minors from participating and limiting participation to those who left a deposit of 5 million won or $3,821, ending the auction on the same day.
