HYBE AGENCY has planned a reunion of all members of the K-Pop idol group BTS in a complete group formation in 2026. This was conveyed by HYBE CFO, Lee Kyung-joon.
“We are in the discussion stage with the members to carry out activities together as a complete group in 2026,” said Lee Kyung-joon, quoted from MyDaily, Wednesday (6/11).
According to him, the reunion of all BTS members will have a big sales impact for HYBE. However, income from BTS will not be the only main source for HYBE as before.

“Even though it is expected that BTS’s return will bring a significant increase in sales, with new business and growth from other artists, the company’s dependence on BTS’s income will not be as large as before,” said Lee Kyung-joon.
HYBE hopes that the reunion of BTS members in 2026 can help increase company sales. However, they also plan to continue developing diverse sources of income by supporting the growth of other artists and new businesses.
Currently, BTS is undergoing a period of hiatus after the members registered for the mandatory military program in South Korea. It is estimated that all BTS members will have completed military service in 2025.
Two BTS members, who were first to register, have completed the military service program, namely Jin in June 2024 and J-Hope last October.
Meanwhile, RM, Ji-min, Jung-kook, and Tae-hyung, have still been following the mandatory military program since last year and are expected to retire next year. (Z-1)

**Interview with K-Pop Expert, Dr. Emily Cho**
*Interviewer*: Thank you for joining us today, Dr. Cho. Given the recent news about Hybe posting an 18.8% revenue slip for Q3 2024, what do you think led to this decline?
*Dr. Cho*: Thank you for having me. The dip in revenue can largely be attributed to a light release calendar during that period. With fewer new music releases and promotions, it’s understandable that their revenue from recorded music would see a decline.
*Interviewer*: Right, and we know Hybe is planning an aggressive Q4 release schedule. What can fans expect in terms of new music or projects?
*Dr. Cho*: Absolutely, Hybe is strategically setting up for a strong comeback. Fans can look forward to new releases from various artists under their label, but the highlight will definitely be the much-anticipated reunion of BTS in 2025. This reunion is expected to generate significant buzz, driving both fan engagement and revenue.
*Interviewer*: Speaking of BTS, do you think the reunion will help stabilize Hybe’s revenue stream moving forward?
*Dr. Cho*: Definitely. BTS is a global phenomenon, and their reunion will likely bring in both high streaming numbers and merchandise sales. The anticipation and excitement surrounding BTS will not only boost Hybe’s revenue but also reestablish their dominance in the K-Pop industry.
*Interviewer*: Some fans are wondering if the different solo projects from BTS members could impact the group’s dynamic upon their return. What’s your take on that?
*Dr. Cho*: It’s a valid concern, but from what we’ve seen, the members have successfully balanced their solo endeavors while maintaining their strong bond as a group. Their individual projects can actually enrich the group dynamic, bringing new experiences and perspectives into their collective work when they reunite.
*Interviewer*: Thank you, Dr. Cho, for your insights today. It looks like we have a lot to look forward to in the K-Pop world!
*Dr. Cho*: Thank you for having me! The excitement surrounding BTS and Hybe’s plans is truly palpable, and it’ll be interesting to see how everything unfolds.
