In social networks circulate all kinds of viral content daily. Within what is usually observed, the discussions and fights in public spaces attract attention. However, situations as aggressive as this are rarely observed.
The incident occurred on Tuesday in a gym in the thai city of Pattayawhere the British Gary Reed trained. While he was taking a break from his exercise sets on a bench, a man approached to ask for the place because I needed to use it.
Faced with Reed’s refusal and attitude of continuing his training, everything ended in the worst way. The images of a security camera of the establishment captured the entire situation. In the first instance, the conversation lasts only a few seconds and seems to have nothing out of the ordinary. After the Brit told him that he wasn’t done using the bench, the other man went in the opposite direction. There seemed to be no problem.
However, he walked back slowly and walked over to Reed, who was working out with a barbell. Unexpectedly, he hit him on the head with a dumbbell he was holding in his right handAs reported LADbible. Despite the force of the impact, the British man got up and rebuked his assailant, who maintained a fighting attitude. Then, they struggled for a few seconds until they moved away. The last moments of the video show the British holding his head, very affected by the blow.
The information indicates that Reed had to apply 60 stitches to the wound. In addition, the victim also suffered from a broken eye socket and retinal hemorrhage. From the hospital, he remarked that his weights were on the side of the bench and you might clearly see that he was still busy.
According to his testimony, he only asked the aggressor for two minutes to finish his series on that bench and make it available. Along the same lines, he also reported that there were others available and that he presumed that the man only wanted to fight.
“I kept training and then he came at me from behind like a coward and hit me in the head. Could have killed me, it’s like an assassination attempt”, he stated. On the other hand, he was surprised that the blow did not knock him out and that he was able to get up so quickly to face his assailant.
Reed also insists that whoever hit him at the gym pay his hospital bill. For the treatment of him, the man had to pay 25,000 baht, which translates into a figure just over 85,000 pesos. The aggressor has already been identified and the progress of the investigation is awaited.
