From today, the military fortress in Jaroměř-Josefov becomes the epicenter of metal music. Fans of the genre are flocking to the 27th edition of the Brutal Assault festival, which will take place from August 6 to 10, 2024.
With the influx of tens of thousands of visitors comes increased security measures. Police officers from the order, traffic and criminal police will strengthen their service not only in the festival area, but also in its surroundings. “The main task will be to maintain public order and ensure the safety and flow of traffic,” a police spokeswoman told reporters Karolina Macháčková.
Visitors should take extra care, especially on the arrival and departure routes, where a significant increase in traffic is expected. Important information, including safety instructions, is available on the festival’s official website.
“For anyone who needs help or encounters problems, line 158 and the nearest police stations are available,” asks the speaker.
17,500 visitors came to last year’s 26th Brutal Assault extreme music festival at the Josefov Fortress in Jaroměř. Around 20,000 people took part in the event, including the artists and the service of the show.
Brutal Assault was originally created as a small event in Moravia and often changed its venue. The year 2006 brought a turning point, when seven thousand people arrived in Svojšice u Přelouč thanks to an attractive program, and after the move to Josefov, attendance increased even more. In the last pre-pandemic year of 2019, 22,000 to 23,000 people arrived at the festival, including artists and show service. In 2020 and 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was held to a limited extent under other names. Last year, the festival was able to return in full force
