“A patrol from the Anti-Banditry Brigade (BAB) of the Brussels-West police zone, traveling in an unmarked car in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, had its attention attracted by the nervousness of a man who seemed to be waiting for someone in front of an establishment,” police said. “The suspect, with a plastic bag in his hand, walked towards a vehicle, behind the wheel of which was another individual.”

The police decided to check the two people and the vehicle. “Their attention was immediately drawn to the central console of the vehicle. A few moments later, they discovered a hiding place. The traffickers had developed a particularly cunning opening system. Furthermore, the police found, in the plastic bag, clothes as well as two rectangular blocks of cocaine weighing more than one kilo whose resale value is estimated between 100,000 and 125,000 euros,” local police said.

The two suspects were interviewed by investigators and then by an investigating judge. One of them was placed under arrest warrant.
