Tonight a majority summit took place at the Amigo hotel, a stone’s throw from the Grand Place, in Brussels. The Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, after having dinner with the ministers Antonio Tajani and Raffaele Fitto, executive vice-president in pectore of the European Commission, was joined by the Minister of Transport Matteo Salvini, leader of the League. Meloni, Tajani and Salvini gathered in a private room of the hotel, where, among others, Emmanuel Macron and Olaf Scholz are staying. This morning Tajani participated in the pre-summit of the EPP, of which he is vice-president, while Salvini attended the pre-summit of the Patriots, the first in the recent history of the European right. Meloni, before the European Council, had planned a meeting on migration organized by Italy, Denmark and the Netherlands.
