Contacted, the Brussels West police zone informed us that “the fixed radar (investment of the municipality of Jette) is not yet operational, but will be soon”. This is confirmed to us by the Jettoise alderwoman for Mobility, Nathalie De Swaef (Groen). “The fixed radar is not yet approved. The procedure is complicated, but almost successful. The start-up is coming soon.” It has in fact been around ten months that the pole has been standing in the rue Jettoise, but without any verbalizations yet.
Soon a radar section on avenue Van Praet: it will be installed following the construction site and will flash in both directions
In the meantime, the authorities still wanted to install a – temporary – repression system. “Rue Bonaventure is a black spot in terms of speed,” explains the environmentalist.
It’s happening in the Brussels Region: here’s where the Lidars are placed until January 4
As a reminder, the Brussels Lidars are moved every Thursday, and distributed to the different police zones of the capital.
