Furthermore, the police discovered, in the vehicle in which a suspect was riding, a cache set up to hide drugs.

Central console
The police decided to check the two people and the vehicle. “Their attention was immediately drawn to the center console of the car. A few moments later, they discovered a prepared hiding place. The traffickers had developed a particularly cunning opening system. Furthermore, the police found, in the plastic bag, clothes as well as two rectangular blocks of cocaine weighing more than one kilo whose resale value is estimated between 100,000 and 125,000 euros,” said the local police. .
Three mobile phones and the suspect vehicle were also seized. The two suspects were interviewed by investigators and then by an investigating judge. One of them was placed under arrest warrant.
“Most of the violence linked to large-scale drug trafficking is linked to the cocaine market”
More and more drug cases
The Brussels public prosecutor’s office and the various police zones in the capital communicate regularly regarding incidents in the drug scene.
If Antwerp and its proximity to the port – the first gateway for cocaine into Europe – make the Flemish metropolis a city infamous for drug trafficking, cases linked to narcotics remain numerous in Brussels.
