Two people have been taken to hospital following a chemical was thrown into a Brussels metro train on Saturday evening. The information was reported by several media and confirmed by STIB. It is probably ammonia, but a more in-depth investigation has been opened.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at Delacroix station, on line 6 of the metro. A man leaving the metro threw a bottle containing liquid into the car.
Quickly, several passengers developed eye and respiratory problems. At the Gare de l’Ouest stop, all passengers got off and the emergency services were notified.
Brussels firefighters arrived on the scene and transferred two people to hospital.
