A violent fire broke out this Saturday followingnoon in the town of Uccle, chaussée d’Alsemberg. The Brussels firefighters were mobilized around 4:45 p.m. to extinguish the fire which consumed a two-storey house in which there is a business.
”The fire was fully developed on a terrace behind the building with spread to the roof. The people present in the business (customers and employees) are safe and sound”, reassure firefighters. “The building is declared uninhabitable.” But the fire did not spread to nearby homes.
Due to the intervention, tram traffic had to be cut off. The intervention ended around 6:45 p.m.
