Brussels – The sixth European Union-African Union summit concluded its work on Friday in Brussels with the adoption of a Joint Declaration on a common vision for 2030 aimed at consolidating a renewed partnership for solidarity, security, peace and Sustainable development.
The summit was marked by the Speech addressed by HM King Mohammed VI to the participants, which was read by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita.
In this Speech, the Sovereign stressed that “guaranteeing education, accelerating the training and employability of our youth, promoting culture, ordering migration and mobility constitute the challenge of the Partnership between the AU and the EU ”.
”It is with these forward-looking objectives that the AU-EU partnership approach must be aligned,” HM the King said, noting that ”neither Africa nor Europe can achieve them. acting in isolation. Our responsibility is common. Our interest is no less so”.
Education, culture, vocational training, mobility and migration “are the priorities of Our action: in Morocco, in Africa and within the framework of Our partnership with the European Union”, recalled HM the King.
The Sovereign underlined, in this context, that it is on young people that these themes converge and that it is for them that the Partnership between the two continents must invest, in order to reach its full potential.
Morocco confirmed by its qualitative presence at this summit, carried by the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, its political commitment at the highest level which is part of the Royal Vision for a prosperous Africa, emancipated and capable of taking its destiny. in hand.
In addition to Morocco’s very active participation in all segments (intergovernmental, private sector, NGOs), organized as a prelude to the summit, Morocco’s co-presidency of a round table on Friday on Education, Culture, Vocational Training and Migration and mobility constituted a mark of renewed confidence in the place enjoyed by the Kingdom, thanks to the Royal leadership, with its African brothers and its European friends and partners.
