Thieves seized a large volume of goods seized by customs at Brussels Airport last week, the Hal-Vilvoorde public prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday, confirming information from the newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.
“A complaint was actually lodged last week by the FPS Finances following a burglary targeting the customs hangars in Brucargo where seized goods were stored“said Gilles Blondeau, spokesman for the prosecution. “At first glance, it is mainly tobacco products that have been stolen, but the precise quantity is not known. An investigation has been opened“, added Mr. Blondeau.
