He would have aggravated an injury of an unspecified nature. His case will be assessed daily, coach Bruce Cassidy said.
Pastrnak left in the third twenty Monday at Columbus. The match ended in the second period for Trent Frederic, who will also be absent on Tuesday (upper body).
Pastrnak and Brad Marchand lead the Bruins with 71 points. Frederic has five goals and 15 points this season.
Boston is looking for a fourth straight win.
