Lindholm and Lindholm in the Boston Bruins. That will become reality after Elias Lindholm signed for the Bruins in connection with NHL free agency opening the gates on Monday evening, Swedish time.
The Bruins already have defender Hampus Lindholm in the lineup.
Elias Lindholm, 29, accounted for 44 points (15+29) in 75 regular season games last season, which he split between the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks. The Swede came to the Canucks in a trade from the Flames in the second half of the season.
Lindholm particularly excelled for the Canucks in the Stanley Cup playoffs where he accounted for ten points (5+5) in 13 games, including two game-winning goals. The team finally fell in Game 7 of the second round against the Edmonton Oilers, who went on to reach the finals.
