Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron now has 999 NHL points

Patrice Bergeron is just one point away from the prestigious 1,000 mark in the NHL following the 6-1 victory of the Bruins de Boston in front of Blackhawks de ChicagoSaturday.

With this win, the Bruins have won their first 11 home games this season, which ties an NHL record.

Bergeron became an accomplice on the net of David Pastrnak in the first period and he himself found the back of the net at the start of the middle period to take his counter to 999 career points. He will be looking to save his 1000e point Monday once morest the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Against the Hawks, the defender Charlie McAvoy distinguished himself with four assists. His teammate Brad Marchand was nearly as productive with three assists. Pastrnak added a goal in the third period to bring his tally to 11 goals this season.

Jeremy Swayman had it easy in front of the Bruins net having to save only 17 pucks. Jonathan Toews was the only one to beat him on a power play.
