Bruce Willis is retiring from acting due to health problems, family announces

The Angels.- Action hero Bruce Willis, 67, has announced his retirement from acting following being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects language skills, his family announced Wednesday.

“As a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce is suffering from health problems and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, (disease) which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” reads a message posted on social media by his daughters, his wife Emma Heming Willis and his ex-wife Demi Moore.

“Consequently, and with much consideration, Bruce is leaving the career that has meant so much to him,” adds the text, dedicated to “Bruce’s incredible fans.”

“This is truly a challenging time for our family and we appreciate your love,” adds the caption, accompanied by a photo of the actor.

“Sending so much love to all of you,” Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis wrote on Instagram.

Bruce Willis broke out on television alongside Cybill Shepherd in the television series “Moonlight,” and quickly achieved notoriety in Hollywood as an action figure in “Die Hard” (1988).

Willis and Demi Moore were married for 13 years and had three daughters (Rumer, Tallulah and Scout), while with his current wife, Emma, ​​he has two other daughters (Evelyn and Mabel).
