This touching scene comes in a difficult context for the family, when the actor was diagnosed with dementia frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

In the clip shared by Ms Heming, 44, she is seen filming with her smart phone as she sits on the merry-go-round with her husband Bruce and their daughter Mabel, 11, just behind.

She shouts “Let’s go!”, while the former Hollywood actor places his left arm in front of his daughter to protect her before diving.

Bruce let out a laugh and wiped a few drops from his face, before gently saying to Mabel: ‘Careful, I think we’re going to do it once more’

The scene warmed the hearts of many netizens.

“I love the way he protects her with his arm! Daddy’s instinct is so cute,” one commented.

“Seeing Bruce and his family happy is the best,” another mentioned.
