Bronny James se montre au McDonald’s All-American Game

In the All-Star Game for high school seniors, Bronny James left his mark on the game despite his loss. Five shots from the parking lot to impress the gallery. With this performance, wouldn’t we be closer to the future Steph Curry than to a copy of dad LeBron?

The McDonald’s All-American Game was taking place that night. The top 24 senior high school students were on the Toyota Center floor in Houston. Team East took the win 109-106 following Isaiah Collier missed the final free throws for Team West. But despite the defeat, Bronny James responded with 15 points, all scored from the parking lot at 62.5%. Each basket was a chance to see LeBron James celebrate in the front row, with ice cream in his blood for his son. For the moment, we are on a very different profile from dad. Smaller, less heavy, in the back-court with a sniper skill. A style of play that is closer to a Stephen Curry (and more athletic) than a LeBron.

For this All-American McDonald’s Jam Fest, Bronny James shone, but didn’t win. Earlier in the week, he finished second in the dunk contest, missing out on his final. Then, at the All-American Game, he scored but lost. Too bad he doesn’t have a little success to get his teeth into before going to university. A future that we don’t know and the guy seems to be playing for time. Among the 24 players present in this great celebration of high school basketball, Bronny James is the only one who has not yet signed in the NCAA or G-League Ignite.

According to the latest rumors, he has received offers from Memphis, Ohio State, Southern California and Oregon. But nothing official yet. Difficult to realize that the son of LeBron James still does not have an NCAA team for next season, despite his interesting potential. You’d think having him in his college would make promotion madness and draw the media to every game. Perhaps his strong showing at the McDonald’s All-American Game will tip the scales for his future.

Bronny James is expected in the NBA in 2024 to play with his father. It would be the first time that we would see a father and a son play together in the NBA. And with the James family, nothing is impossible.
