GUARD Cleveland Cavaliers confirmed to be out for at least a week following undergoing surgery, Tuesday (19/3), to repair the broken nose injury he suffered. This was revealed by the NBA team, Wednesday (20/3).
The 27 year old basketball player suffered a broken nose when the Cavaliers lost at home to the Hosuton Rockets 117-103, Sunday (17/3) WIB. He was absent when the Cavaliers won at home to the Indiana Pacers 108-103.
Mitchell, the Cavaliers’ leading scorer this season at 27.4 points per game, underwent rhinoplasty in Cleveland and will have his condition evaluated in a week.
Mitchell missed seven games with a knee injury before returning once morest the Rockets.
This season, Mitchell also recorded 6.1 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.
Mitchell’s fine performance led the Cavaliers to post a win-loss record of 43-25 and sit in third place in the Eastern Conference standings, only one game behind the second-place Milwaukee Bucks. (AFP/Z-1)
