An acquaintance of Kim Shin-young (39), who threatened and demanded money from broadcaster Kim Shin-young (39), was handed over to the prosecution.

Osan Police Station in Gyeonggi-do announced on the 22nd that it had sent Mr. A on charges of intimidation.

Kim Shin-young filed a complaint with the police last month, claiming that she was being threatened.

The Osan Police Station, which has jurisdiction over the residence of Mr. A, who was designated as the blackmailing party, handed over the case to the prosecution on the 13th following believing that Mr. A’s charges were recognized through the investigation.

It was reported that Mr. A was Kim Shin-young’s acquaintance and demanded money and valuables along with threats.

The details of the threat were not disclosed.

A police official said, “As the matter is under investigation, we cannot provide further details.”
