Brito: We responded to the complaints about the increase in fares

From December 1, they began a street care plan, starting in Sierra Parima and the entrance to El Llanito to verify the amount they charged.

The director of public transport in Caroní, Richard Brito, confirmed that they received complaints regarding the arbitrary increase in fares on some routes in Ciudad Guayana.

According to user complaints, scoop found that some carriers charged between four and five bolivars.

Brito pointed out that since December 1 they began a street care plan starting in Sierra Parima and the entrance of El Llanito, verifying the collection of the ticket as established.

At the point of Alta Vista I, Cristal Shopping Center, crossroads of 45, the Casa de la Mujer and the Vista al Sol economic store were also checked.

By December 2, they already had nine citations to carriers who will be sanctioned by the Municipal Ordinance Law.

It should be noted that the sanctions on public transport organizations, that their vehicles frequently incur in the increase, will have their route permit suspended.

“We have made the call to the presidents of the lines, talk to your members, the collection of the ticket at four bolivars is not authorized, the conditions are not given for them to increase in view of the fact that the supply of fuel is being attended and people are being mobilized in the street”.

The operations continued over the weekend at “La Pica Pica”, El Mirador, a wholesale market in San Félix. In Puerto Ordaz in front of the El Hierro square and the old Graffiti.

The surprise was also for the users of pisteros with the rise in the ticket between five and eight bolivars.
