LONDON (Archyde.com) – Queen Elizabeth has canceled an online meeting of her advisory body, the Privy Council, scheduled for Wednesday. After appointing Truss as prime minister the day before, she was advised to rest by doctors.

“The Queen has been active all day yesterday and has accepted a rest recommendation from a panel of doctors this followingnoon, therefore the Privy Council meeting scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled,” the royal family said in a statement.

The royal family has publicly announced that the Queen has been having “mobility problems” since late last year, prompting her to scale back her activities and reduce her public appearances. The royal family has not provided details regarding the Queen’s condition, but said her doctors’ recommendations did not involve her visiting the hospital.
