British Airways announced the suspension of its flights to Tel Aviv following Hamas claimed to have attacked the Israeli city’s airport, reports Sky news. A spokesperson for the Israeli Airports Authority said rockets were flying around Tel Aviv at the time the British airline’s flight was diverted by its captain, but said they did not pose an immediate threat. for the flight in question or for Ben Gurion Airport.

A diverted flight

Data from FlightRadar24 shows that the plane which departed from London is currently flying over Greece. According to the site, the flight was already well into its descent phase when it turned around. The plane had left London this morning and was due to land in Tel Aviv shortly following 3 p.m.
