Britain’s royal family gathered to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II at her Thanksgiving service on Friday, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex publicly joining the family for the first time since they left their official duties, BA Media reported on Friday.
The Queen was absent from the crowd but the Duchess of Cambridge later said she had enjoyed the historic platinum jubilee celebrations on Thursday but that the day had been “extremely tiring”.
Harry and Meghan were the center of attention in the absence of the Queen and the couple, following their decision to step down from their royal duties, as they sat in the second row of St Paul’s Cathedral.
The public prayer was the main feature of the religious event today, Friday, following 400 people with honors were invited, including medical and key workers who were honored for their work during the Corona pandemic.
The 96-year-old watched the service on television from Windsor Castle following suffering “tiredness” following a busy first day of festivities.
Buckingham Palace later confirmed that the Queen, who is a horse owner and groomer, would not attend the Epsom Derby on Saturday.
