The British undersecretary for the armed forces, James Heappey, warned Russia on the 12th that any use of chemical weapons by the Russian army in an attack on Ukraine, will trigger a Western response, and “all possible options are on the table”.

Ukrainian lawmaker Solomiia Bobrovska called on Twitter: “President Biden and NATO have declared that if Russia uses chemical weapons, there will be a strong reaction, and now is the time to act.”
