Brighton & Hove Albion’s Enock Mwepu has to retire at 24 after being diagnosed with heart disease

Mwepu was unwell on a flight to the national team a month ago and spent a few days in a hospital in Mali before flying to England for further checks. Mwepu, who has scored three goals in 27 games for the club, wrote on Twitter that he was “living his dream of the Premier League”.

Mwepu moved from RB Salzburg to Brighton in 2021.
