Brigadier General Desy Andriani Appointed as Director of Criminal Investigation of PPA and PPO

Indonesian National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo appointed Brigadier General Pol. Desy Andriani as Director of Women and Children Crimes (PPA) and Human Trafficking Crimes (PPO) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit. Previously, Brigadier General Pol. Desy served as the Main Police Psychologist Level 1 SSDM Polri.

In addition to Brigadier General Desy, the Chief of Police also transferred 308 other pati and pamen personnel as stated in the telegram letter numbered ST/2098/IX/KEP./2024, ST/2099/IX/KEP./2024, ST/2100/IX/KEP./2024, and ST/2101/IX/KEP./2024 dated September 20, 2024.

“This is the commitment of the Chief of Police in an effort to realize justice for women and children and vulnerable groups by officially establishing the Directorate of Women and Children’s Crimes (PPA) and Human Trafficking Crimes (PPO) and appointing Brigadier General Pol. Desy Andriani as Director of PPA and PPO,” said the Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police Public Relations Division Brigadier General Pol. Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko in a statement received in Jakarta, Sunday.

Brigadier General Pol. Trunoyudo said that promotion and rotation are commonplace in an organization to improve performance and service as well as protection of the Police to the community.

“Mutation and rotation are natural processes in an organization in order to improve performance, tour of duty area,” he said.

In the letter, the Chief of Police appointed four new regional police chiefs and four new deputy regional police chiefs. Here are the names of the new regional police chiefs:
1. Inspector General of Police Andi Rian R. Djajadi, who previously served as
South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, now South Sumatra Regional Police Chief
2. Inspector General of Police Yudhiawan Wibisono, who previously served as the Regional Police Chief
North Sulawesi, now the South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief
3. Inspector General of Police Roycke Harry Langie, who previously served as
Head of Community Development Corps of the Indonesian National Police’s Baharkam, now serves as the Chief of Police of North Sulawesi
4. Inspector General of Police Hadi Gunawan, who previously served as the Coordinating Expert
Chief of Police, now NTB Regional Police Chief

Meanwhile, the following are the names promoted as deputy chief of police:
1. Deputy Chief of East Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Pol. Pasma Royce
2. Deputy Chief of West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Pol. Wibowo
3. Deputy Chief of Bali Police Brigadier General Pol. I Komang Sandi Arsana
4. Deputy Chief of Police of Bangka Belitung, Brigadier General Tony Harsono

Furthermore, the Chief of Police also confirmed Inspector General of Police Wahyu Hadiningrat as the Chief of Police’s Main Assistant for General Planning and Budget (Astamarena) and Inspector General of Police Verdianto Iskandar Bitticaca as the Chief of Police’s Main Assistant for Operations (Astamaops).
